The Don't Miss List, five more reasons to give thanks
C'mon, admit it: You have "Googled" yourself Canadian artist Carrie Walker not only Googled herself, she based her new exhibit around the phenomenon. Walker explores Internet identities in You May Know Carrie From Her Vibrant Presence, on view at the Kristi Engle Gallery through Dec. 23. When Walker Googled herself, there were more than 12,000 hits, but many of them referenced other women with the same name. Walker became interested in these women and decided to draw and paint their Internet-posted portraits. She then added autobiographical information, creating something along the lines of an identity crisis.
